Denyigba is dedicated to preserving the rich culture of the Eʋe people and supporting community welfare. Eʋe Union Coventry and Warwickshire (Denyigba) is a community organisation dedicated to bringing together Eʋe people residing in Coventry and Warwickshire.
Founded on the principles of unity, compassion, cultural pride and shared responsibility, our Union exists to preserve our heritage while supporting the welfare and wellbeing of our members in the United Kingdom.
“Denyigba: Ɖekawɔwɔ” reflects our belief in unity and collective strength – that together, we stand stronger. and fostering unity between the UK and Ghana through cultural celebration and sustainable development.



Our Mission
To preserve Eʋe culture, support members’ welfare, foster cross-cultural understanding, and promote development and poverty reduction in both the United Kingdom and Ghana, particularly in the Volta and Oti Regions.
Our Aims
We aim to:
Support development initiatives that benefit Eʋe communities in Ghana and the diaspora.
Bring together the Eʋe community in Coventry and Warwickshire.
Preserve and promote our language, traditions, and cultural heritage.
Provide structured welfare support to members.
Promote intercultural understanding within the wider UK community.
What We Do
Cultural Promotion
We organise cultural events, festivals, and workshops that celebrate and educate both our members and the wider public about Eʋe traditions.
We are committed to preserving the Eʋe language and offer language classes for children and adults.
Welfare Support
We provide structured support packages including:
- Bereavement support
- New parent support
- Mental health support
- Immigration guidance and signposting
Our welfare system is built on mutual contribution, transparency, and accountability.
